Last week the Edge team was in Washington DC at Translational Science 2018 running two sessions of speed mentoring.

Speed mentoring is a riff on speed dating that allows trainees and early career faculty to meet multiple mentors in a short time. Here is the recipe for organizing a speed mentoring event at your own institution.

Each year we see mentors going above and beyond the hour of speed mentoring they signed up for. Invitations are made to stay in touch, collaborations are suggested, and mentees leave the session with a renewed focus and optimism.
