A few months ago one of my favorite Twitter/blogger types, Pascale Lane, shared the story of her adorable husband who was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of brain cancer. Pascale is a pediatric nephrologist in Oklahoma who has been a tireless advocate for trainees, outreach, equality and better cocktails.

Both she and her husband Jim have generously shared their story with the friends and family, but in her always amazing blog on Scientopia, she does an outstanding job of reminding scientists to press on. Even though funding is horrible. And politics stink and life is hard. She has a fantastic husband and they need your A-game. Best wishes to Pascale and Jim.
