Peer Behind the Study Section Curtain

Register for the Mock Study Section at Translational Science 2017.

All pre- and postdoctoral trainees as well as early career faculty can participate in the Mock Study Section at Translational Science 2017. This session replicates an NIH Study Section down to the last molecule and walks through the review process using real R, K, or F applications. You’ll review the grants you’re assigned and compare your critiques with those from an NIH program officer. There’s also discussion on how to make your grants more competitive in today’s funding climate.

As with real NIH Study Sections, you are required to attend and participate fully. The Mock Study Section requires approximately 2.5 hours of pre-work, along with participation on April 19 during the live session.
